Plastic Bag is a short film by Ramin Bahrani that could easily have fallen into the category of fart-house cinema, defined as a film attempting to be an art house masterpiece but falling hilariously short and deemed laughably unwatchable. It is, after all, a film about a … um . . plastic bag. Yet somehow in the hands of such an accomplished director this magical little short finds us caring and rooting for a plastic bag. It helps also that our hero (the plastic bag) is voiced by none other than Werner Herzog (my hero).
I love this.
